Mickey is a seasoned attorney whose focus has been on the resolution of labor and employment disputes for public and private sector employees and employers. 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology at the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in labor relations at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  He earned his law degree at the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, with a concentration in employment and labor law.

Mickey’s expansive and multi-faceted employment and labor law career includes experience with the National Labor Relations Board in Boston and as an accomplished chief negotiator in public and private sector collective bargaining in numerous industries and fields.

Mickey has successfully represented employers, employees, and unions in litigation before state and federal agencies and state and federal courts.

Prior to beginning his law firm, Mickey practiced with the law firm of Gesmonde, Pietrosimone and Sgrignari, LLC in Hamden, CT.  There, in addition to representing employers and employees in labor and employment matters, he assisted in the representation of various New Haven County municipalities.

Mickey is an employment arbitrator with the National Association of Securities Dealers and the American Dispute Resolution Center.  He is also secretary of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Assocation.

He is admitted to both the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar and is affiliated with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the CT Trial Lawyers Association, Society for Human Resource Managment and the National Employment Lawyers’ Association.
